Map India 2003 Update

Map India 2003 is 6th annual international conference and exhibition in the field of mapping technologies like Geographic Information System, Global Positioning System, Aerial Photography and Remote Sensing. Although it primarily serves to Indian mapping community but over a period it has attracted quite a lot of international participation providing a platform for collaboration between India and rest of the world.

Theme
Theme of Map India 2003 is “g-Readiness”. Geographic information generation, availability, accessibility, policy framework and utilisation by the organisations and citizens, form the core parameters to measure the g-readiness of a country.

This year, 5 best papers submitted by the students shall be selected & felicitated with special notes of appreciation. Map India 2003 shall also confer, from the entire range of participants, the following awards: ‘best paper, best exhibitor, best poster, best software and best hardware’, to maintain its continuous efforts to promote and develop the enterprising mapping community in India.
