S S Meenakshisunderam Secretary, Department of Drinking Water Supply, Government of India

Shri S. S. Meenakshisundaram, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service borne on the Karnataka Cadre, holds a Ph.D in Development Economics from Jamia Milia Islamia National University, New Delhi. He is at present working as Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Drinking Water Supply in the Ministry of Rural Development. He has published several articles and presented several papers on panchayatiraj and rural development. He has also published a book on “Decentralisation in Developing Countries” with special reference to Nigeria, China and India during 1994.

Rear Admiral K R Srinivasan Chief Hydrographer to the Govt of India

Rear Admiral KR Srinivasan was commissioned in the Indian Navy in 1967 and is a specialist in Hydrographic and Oceanographic surveying. He has served in diverse appointments including the Western Fleet of the Indian Navy, Commanding Officer of three Indian Naval Surveying Ships, Harbour Master (Maritime and Shipping) under the A&N administration, Director of Ship Building Contracts and Cost Management at Naval Headquarters and is presently Chief Hydrographer to the Govt of India since 1994.
